A street in Santa Maria was closed for over an hour after a traffic collision the evening of Sept. 8.
Santa Maria Police said a single vehicle was traveling northbound on Broadway when it went into the southbound lane. From there, it hit into a light pole.
The Police said the driver sustained major injuries and was then transported to the hospital.
Afterward, Police said Cal Trans continued to work on the utility pole and clean up roadways.
