Pedestrian dies following vehicle collision in Lompoc

On Thursday February 4th at approximately 6:45 p.m. Lompoc Police Department Officers responded to the 1600 block of West Ocean Avenue for a report of a vehicle that hit a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers located the involved vehicle and driver and a 69-year-old male.

Lompoc Fire and medics responded to the scene to render medical aid to the male, and despite life saving measures, the male passed away.

According to Lompoc Police, the driver of the vehicle was cooperative throughout this investigation.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
