The Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services put out a small fire on August 19 after being called to a multi-family home in the area.
Responders arrived on the scene at approximately 1:56 p.m., where they saw light smoke rising from the house and nearby vegetation. The fire started on an outside deck before spreading.
Firefighters assisted the resident and her dog out into the street before containing and putting out the fire on the exterior of the building.
A total of 12 firefighters responded to the incident, with one fire engine, one truck, one squad, and a Battalion Chief from the Department.
According to the Battalion Chief, the fire was caused by smoking.
