The 805 Games were held on Friday in San Luis Obispo, bringing together over 500 community members with disabilities. Best Coast Sports held the 805 Games at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
Participants were able to play in various sports, including baseball, bocce, and track and field events.
“I just love seeing the joy of everybody, no matter how they do, everyone is so joyful and so happy, and I love just supporting everyone and seeing, you know, just how excited they are to be here and to compete and just have this opportunity to come out and, you know, be themselves," said Kirsten Purcell, San Luis Obispo resident.
Organizers said the event is meant to celebrate inclusion and community for children and adults with developmental disabilities across San Luis Obispo County.
