SLO County Airport (SBP) officials confirm that on Saturday, October 18, Alaska Airlines Flight 3383 headed to San Diego reported a bird strike off airport property and returned to SBP, where it landed without incident.
CALFIRE responded as a precaution around 2:30 p.m. but was not needed.
Officials say a special runway inspection found no debris, and the FAA was notified.
Airport authorities say business returned to normal following the safe landing.
