Firefighters are on the scene of a fire off Los Osos Valley Road near the northbound Highway 101 on-ramp.
The fire was first reported at about 4:30 p.m.
A large plume of black smoke could be seen rising from the scene.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle appeared to be fully engulfed.
