A gas leak has prompted the closure of some downtown streets in San Luis Obispo, and the weekly Downtown SLO Farmers' Market has been canceled.
The gas leak was reported at about 2:10 p.m. along the 700 block of Higuera Street.
Higuera is closed from Chorro to Broad streets, and Garden Street is closed from Marsh to Higuera. An evacuation order has also been issued for this area.

It's unknown how long the closure will last.
