Louisa's Place, a popular breakfast spot in Downtown San Luis Obispo, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday.
The business honored the accomplishment with a pancake-eating contest during the afternoon. According to their website, the business first opened up in 1958. However, it was called Best Ever Grill during that time. Then, in 1976, the business was bought and renamed Louisa's Place.
The winner of the pancake-eating contest will get free pancakes once a week for a year.
