On Thursday, Jan. 22, protesters gathered at the Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers Market for a demonstration regarding the current situation in Iran.
Community members showed up with signs while chanting "Free Iran."
Behrooz Shaakibnia, a local resident, shared, "Again, this is a crisis, you know, human rights crisis in Iran. And I hope people in the United States come to the help of the Iranian people because we need their help. They need our help, and we cannot remain silent."
