The San Luis Obispo City Council held a public input opportunity on Tuesday night regarding the Higuera Complete Streets Project. City officials say the project aims to enforce safety for bicyclists by reducing lanes on South Higuera Street between Bridge Street and Margarita Avenue.

Construction is set to begin this summer. The city council is also considering the 50 Higuera Widening Project. That project could add a center turn lane between Bridge Street and Elks Lane.
