According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the 1400 block of Palm Street is closed to car traffic.
Underground work has reportedly been taking place on the roadway, and recent rain caused the sides of the trench to collapse. Officials have not announced when the road will reopen, as ongoing rain is expected to continue affecting the area.
