The SLO City Church is set to open a new location in the county as it takes over the old Arise Vineyard Church.

The new church will be located at 1775 Calle Joaquin in San Luis Obispo and is set to open on September 13th of this year.

SLO City Church has moved through 12 locations over its seven-year history.

According to Lead Pastor Brent Bramer, when it was announced that Arise Vineyard Church would close down, they were approached with the idea of purchasing the property.

The property has gone through an extensive 90-day transition, in which volunteers and crews have repainted every wall to prepare the church for its grand opening.

“This location allows our church to have a sense of permanence,” said Bramer. “We've been kind of moving a lot, leasing places, borrowing gyms, and now purchasing this location. This land allows SLO City Church to be rooted and established for a long time.”

A food pantry and a center for children with special needs are also in the works.

The SLO City Church will hold three services for its grand opening on September 13th.
