The United Way of San Luis Obispo is kicking off its 18th annual “Stuff the Bus” back-to-school drive from August 7–9.
For three days, community members can drop off school supplies, donate online, or volunteer at drop-off locations to help collect items for local students across San Luis Obispo County.
Last year, the drive collected over $60,000 worth of supplies donated by the community, helping more than 4,000 students throughout the county start the school year off right.
United Way is aiming even higher this year, and community members, school clubs, PTAs, sports teams, and civic groups are encouraged to join the effort and help organize supplies.
For those who want to volunteer or donate school supplies, they can visit drop-off locations starting Friday, August 7, through Saturday, August 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
• Arroyo Grande: Walmart
• Atascadero: State Hospital & Staples
• Cambria: Cookie Crock Market (Note: Only open for drop-offs Aug. 7–8)
• Paso Robles: Walmart
• San Luis Obispo: Target & Staples
