The San Miguel Community Services District is working to fill a seat left vacant following the death of Vice President John Green last year.

Three candidates were considered for the position at a meeting on Thursday night, but no new members were selected.

Former San Miguel CSD board members Raynette Gregory and Berkley Baker were both nominated but not approved. The motion failed in a 2-2 vote.

The board says it will only have four members until the election in November.
