Allan Hancock football dominates Antelope Valley, 26-3

The Allan Hancock College football team defeated Antelope Valley College, 26-3, on Saturday afternoon in Santa Maria.

The Bulldogs jumped in front right way in the 1st quarter as Jayden Vargas scored a touchdown on the team’s second drive of the game.

With the Bulldogs leading 7-3 later in the 1st, Antelope Valley’s punt was in the end zone and Hancock was awarded a safety to make it a six-point game.

Hancock continued to ride the hot hand of Vargas in the 2nd quarter as he punched in his second score of the game. The Bulldogs went into halftime leading, 19-3.

The Bulldogs put the game out of reach in the 3rd quarter when Ryheem Skinner bulldozed his way to paydirt for an 11-yard touchdown.

With the win, Hancock improves to 3-1 overall on the season. The Bulldogs open up conference play next Saturday, October 13 at Pasadena City College.
