The Cal Poly bowling team wrapped up its two-day SLO Rollers Bowling Tournament at Rancho Bowl in Santa Maria on Sunday.

Eight teams from six different West Coast Division 1 programs competed for points towards this spring’s National Club Tournament.

Fresno State won Saturday’s section, while San Jose State was victorious on Sunday afternoon. Cal Poly finished 6th and 4th respectively.

Tournament Director Wade Stever says he was excited to be able to host the event for the second straight year.

“It’s amazing. I mean, they’re a great group of kids,” Stever said. “They’re all great bowlers and the competition level has been really high. They’re loving the venue. We’ve done a lot of upgrades in the past few years, so they love the place. We want to keep them coming and make it their second home.”

Cal Poly will return to action in two weeks when they compete at a tournament in Fresno.
