CIF-State Cross Country Championships

A handful of teams and individuals from the Central Coast competed at the CIF-State Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at Woodward Park in Fresno.

In Division 1, the Paso Robles boys team took 9th place. Damian Gavilian (13th) and Pablo Cortes (25th) were the top two finishers for the Bearcats.

In the Division 1 girls race, Jenna Lenay of Arroyo Grande finished 118th.

The San Luis Obispo girls team finished 11th in Division 2. Grace Rubio (62nd) and Alexi Steinmaus (69th) were the Tigers’ top finishers.

Also in the Division 2 girls race, Madeline Loff of Paso Robles took 90th.

The San Luis Obispo boys team placed 19th in Division 2. Duncan Speirs (99th) and Matt Scurria (105th) were the top two finishers for the Tigers.

Atascadero’s Xavier Gonzales finished 46th and Yair Torres of Santa Maria took 100th in Division 2.

Audrey McClishes 33rd place finish helped lead the Morro Bay girls team to 22nd place in Division 3.

Also in Division 3, Nipomo’s Kacie Slover (51st) and Devin Diaz (36th) were the lone Titans competitors.
