Santa Monica snaps Allan Hancock’s 8-game winning streak, 81-71

The Allan Hancock College men’s basketball team fell to Santa Monica College, 81-71, halting the Bulldogs’ 8-game winning streak on Wednesday night at Joe White Memorial Gymnasium.

After leading by two at halftime, Santa Monica never gave up its lead the entire second half with Hancock only cutting the deficit to as close as one-point within the first five minutes.

Daisone Hughes scored a team-high 19 points for Santa Monica, including the dagger with under two minutes to play.

Glenn Jordan dropped a game-high 22 points for the Bulldogs.

With the loss, Hancock falls to 15-3 on the season. They’ll be back in action at Oxnard on Saturday, tip time is 1:00 P.M.
