The Cal Poly softball program hosts Hawai’i April 5-6 in the first of its three Big West Conference home series at Bob Janssen Field.
The three-game series gets underway with a 5 p.m. matchup on Friday, April 5 before closing with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday, April 6. Cal Poly (7-26, 1-2), which opened Big West play by dropping two of three matchups at UC Riverside March 30-31, trails conference leader Cal State Fullerton (23-13, 3-0) by two games in the Big West standings.
Hawai’i (21-10, 2-1), the Big West’s home run leader with 34 shots, began its conference stretch by topping Long Beach State at home twice last week. Friday’s series opener marks just Hawai’i’s third game this season on the mainland.
