Oklahoma State junior shortstop and former Cuesta College standout Andrew Navigato was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 20th round (592nd overall) of the 2019 MLB Draft on Wednesday afternoon.
Navigato spent two seasons with the Cougars and won the 2018 Western State Conference MVP his sophomore season after batting .387 with six home runs, 52 RBI, and seven stolen bases.
Navigato hit .296 for the Cowboys this past spring, slugging 12 home runs and driving in 42 RBI.
