Thomas Rowan, a 2014 Santa Ynez High School graduate and senior catcher for UC Santa Barbara, heard his name called on the third and final day of the 2019 MLB Draft.
Rowan, the 591st overall pick, was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 20th round.
In his senior campaign for the Gauchos, Rowan batted .327 with 13 home runs, 14 doubles, and 46 RBI. He was a First Team All-Big West Conference selection.
