Game two of the doubleheader between the Blues and the MLB Academy wound up being a pitchers’ duel for most of the night, but Ruben Mercado broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the 6th. The former Cuesta Cougar’s 2-run single up the middle gave the Blues a 3-1 lead, and San Luis Obispo held on for the 5-4 win, completing the Saturday sweep over the Barons.

Mission Prep’s Kai Janowicz went 4 solid innings for San Luis Obispo, giving up just one earned run.
