Spencer Berry, the founder and director of Next Level 805 Basketball, wrapped up his last clinic for July on Tuesday at the Oceano Community Center.

Berry is a 2007 Nipomo High School graduate and played college basketball at Allan Hancock College and Cal State Northridge. He is currently a boys varsity assistant at Arroyo Grande High School.

Berry started Next Level 805 Basketball two years ago doing only private sessions, and now, it’s grown to clinics and camps for over 50 boys and girls of all ages.

There’s plenty of basketball talent of the Central Coast and it’s Berry’s goal to help players of all skill levels get better at the game he so dearly loves.

“Anyone is invited – boy, girl, college player, high school player, it doesn’t matter,” Berry said. “Outside of school basketball, it’s club team basketball, traveling team basketball and those teams are trying to get the most talented kids in the area. Believe me, I love talent but also want to give that seven-year-old girl, nine-year-old boy, or 12-year-old trying out for his/her school team a chance.”
