The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team defeated rival Cuesta College, 69-50, in a Western State-North Conference showdown on Saturday night in San Luis Obispo.
Three Bulldogs starters scored double-digits but Mayowa Akinsanya, off the bench, led the way with 14 points. He missed just one shot and hauled in five rebounds.
Cuesta saw three of its starters score in double figures as well. The Cougars were paced by Stef Korfas who tallied a game-high 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
Allan Hancock, which improved to 15-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play, will travel to Santa Barbara City College on Wednesday for a 7 P.M. tip.
Cuesta, with the loss, fell to 8-11 overall and 2-1 in conference competition. The Cougars will hit the road as well on Wednesday to face LA.Pierce at 7 P.M.
