The Allan Hancock softball team fell to Southwestern on Saturday afternoon, 10-2, suffering its first loss of the season.
The Bulldogs gave up six runs over the first two innings, and then the Jaguars tacked on another in the top of the third, increasing their lead to seven.
Hancock struck for two runs in the bottom of the third, but that's as close as the Bulldogs got as they fell to 2-1 on the season.
