He ran rampant over opposing defenses in high school, and now, for a second straight year, 2018 Lompoc High grad Toa Taua is showing off his power in college with the Nevada Wolf Pack football team.

In Saturday's 41-38 thrilling victory over San Jose State, Taua had a career-high 34 carries for 160 yards and one touchdown. His 160 yards is a season-high and just 10 yards short of his career-high which he set last season at Toledo.

Taua's touchdown is his third this season and 10th of his young career, including one receiving score in 2018.

In 19 total games for the Wolf Pack, the sensational sophomore has eclipsed 1,301 rushing yards on 325 carries.

Taua is a preseason All-Mountain West Conference selection and was placed on preseason watch lists for the Doak Walker Award, Maxwell Award, and Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.

Taua and the Wolf Pack will head to Utah State for a big Mountain West clash on Saturday at 7:15 P.M.
