San Luis Obispo High School has relieved head boys basketball coach Trey Francke of his duties, principal Leslie O'Connor confirmed with KSBY Thursday night.

The Tigers are 14-12 overall and 3-5 in Mountain League play in Francke's first season as head coach.

O'Connor says it wasn't an easy decision to let Francke go. "I want to thank Trey for his contributions to the Tigers this season. We honor his hard work and commitment, but it just didn't end up being the right fit."

Former head coach and current SLO High athletic director, Jeff Brandow, will take over for the remainder of the season. The job opening for next year has been filed.
