A dense fog advisory is in effect Tuesday morning through 9:00 a.m. for areas in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Fog blanketing the roadways could decrease visibility to ¼ of a mile or less during your commute, so it’s important to reduce driving speeds and increase following distance.

When conditions start to clear later in the morning, patchy fog and clouds could linger throughout areas of the coastal valleys. Tuesday night, the fog will return and stay overnight, which will likely result in some drizzle. This will carry over through Thursday before the warmer conditions return Friday.

Daytime highs will be cooler by a couple degrees Tuesday, otherwise, temperatures are fairly consistent with conditions on Monday. The interior valleys will range from the upper 70s to low 80s,  and the coastal valleys will mostly be in the mid-70s. Temperatures at the beaches will stay around the upper 60s to low 70s with increased marine layer throughout most of the morning.
