As a ridge continues to sit over California, daytime highs have the potential to reach the low 70s for some of the coastal valley areas. Temperatures for the beaches and interior valleys will be closer to the mid to upper 60s.
Partly cloudy skies will cover parts of the interior valleys through the morning, but by the afternoon high clouds will become much more widespread.
A high surf advisory remains in place for San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County’s Central Coast through Friday at noon. Surf still has the potential to reach 17 feet during this time period.
A storm system will move into the area late Monday night and will continue with light, scattered showers through Christmas Day. Rain totals will be light and will likely be under 0.5” with most of the system impacting the North Coast.
