Sunny and warmer conditions are on tap for the weekend ahead, but the Central Coast will likely get a taste of the 70-degree weather Thursday.

Daytime highs for the coastal valleys could reach the low 70’s. Not far behind will be the beaches, where temperatures will get close to the upper 60s with the potential to break over the 70-degree mark. The interior valleys will mostly be in the mid-60s Thursday but don’t worry, it will warm up in those areas by the weekend.

The overnight hours will continue to have cooler temperatures in the 30s and 40s and offshore winds will also be a factor.

As a high-pressure ridge continues to shift east over California, the warmer temperatures will come with it. There will also be plenty of sunshine to go along with the weekend forecast.

Saturday looks to be the warmest day out of the weekend with places like San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande expected to reach 75 degrees.
