Monday was a scorcher, and Tuesday’s conditions could be the same. A heat advisory has been extended through 9 p.m. for the interior valleys in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Daytime highs in this region will generally range from the mid-90s to the low 100s.
Temperatures for the coastal valleys will stay close to the low to mid-80s, while the beaches will stay right around the mid-70s. Through the end of the week, the marine layer will start to make its way back to the coast in the early morning hours. Onshore winds could also bring periods of heavy drizzle the beaches in the early morning hours.
