Fog is filling in over the Central Coast Wednesday morning, stretching from the beaches to the inland valley communities. Not too much is changing in the forecast Wednesday and it will stay that way through Friday.

The fog will mix out of valley locations by late afternoon and gradually clear along the coast through the early afternoon hours. Daytime highs are inching towards monthly averages but will still be slightly below normal July temperatures. The inland valley communities will range from the low 80s to the low 90s with southwesterly winds gusting from 24-28 miles per hour through early Wednesday night. The coastal valleys will reach the low to mid-70s and the beaches will hang around the mid-60s range.

A change in the forecast is on the horizon as a ridge of high pressure will push in from the east on Friday, bringing warmer temperatures to the area. The inland valleys will be back in the 90s and some coastal valley locations could reach temperatures in the 80s.
