UPDATE (2 p.m.) - The California Highway Patrol reports the Highway 1 ramps have re-opened.

UPDATE (1:20 p.m.) - The Morro Bay Fire Department reports that there were two roadside fires along Highway 1 and both have been contained.
Firefighters are expected to remain on scene for another hour conducting mop-up operations.

(1:15 p.m.) - The southbound Main St. offramp on Highway 1 in Morro Bay was shut down Thursday afternoon because of a brush fire.
The California Highway Patrol reported that at 12:23 p.m., three small fires were reported along the righthand shoulder of the highway.
The Highway 41 onramp was also briefly closed.
