UPDATE (1:30 p.m.) - CAL FIRE SLO reports the fire has been contained. Firefighters are expected to remain at the scene for a few hours for mop up.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

UPDATE (12:22 p.m.) - A fire that broke out off Price Canyon Rd. near Pismo Beach has burned between three and five acres, according to CAL FIRE SLO.
People driving through the area should expect one-way traffic controls while firefighters are on scene.

UPDATE (11:43 a.m.) - CAL FIRE SLO reports that two acres of grass and brush have burned.
Firefighters are reportedly making good progress battling the fire.

(11:34 a.m.) - A vegetation fire broke out Wednesday morning near the Pismo Preserve.
It was reported just after 11 a.m. off Price Canyon Rd., east of Thousand Hills Rd.
Eastbound Price Canyon Rd. was expected to be closed to traffic while firefighters worked to put out the flames.
