Firefighters extinguished a small brush fire at the Oceano Dunes Saturday afternoon.
CAL FIRE SLO and the Five Cities Fire Authority responded to reports of a brush fire near the Pier Ave. beach entrance around 3 p.m.
Smoke could be seen from Highway 101.

Fire officials said it was contained to about 3/4 of an acre.
There have been severalbrush firesreported at the Oceano Dunes this month.
The causes of the fires are still under investigation.
