Forward progress has been stopped on a vegetation fire that broke out on Vandenberg Air Force Base property Monday afternoon.
It started at around 1:15 p.m. on Highway 135 near Graciosa Road outside of Orcutt.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, which is assisting Vandenberg Fire, says an estimated seven acres have burned.
Firefighters were battling the flames from the air and on the ground.
Traffic is said to be impacted in the area.
