UPDATE (9:10 p.m.) - Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to the back lot of a property along Black Oak Drive for a report of a vegetation fire. around 4 p.m.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a brush fire burning between two commercial lots.

The fire spread to the neighboring commercial storage yard containing a variety of roofing material along Riverside Ave.

According to fire officials, the burning material produced a black plume of smoke that could be seen throughout the city.

The fire was contained shortly after it broke out and did not spread to nearby structures, according authorities.
