Santa Barbara County Firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire that broke out off of Highway 101 near Refugio State Beach.
The Tajiguas Fire broke out at around 6:30 p.m. off northbound Highway 101 north of Refugio State Beach.
Fire officials say one acre burned and as of 7 p.m. forward progress has been stopped.
California Highway Patrol has one lane closed in the area as fire crews respond to fully contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
