The gusty offshore winds that were widespread across the Central Coast Monday are taking a break Tuesday.
Expect winds 5-15 mph with locally stronger gusts through morning and afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny.
Beaches and inland valleys will have daytime highs in the low-60s Tuesday. Coastal valleys will hit mid-60s and areas along the Santa Barbara County South Coast and Santa Ynez Valley will be in the upper-60s.
Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, winds will begin to pick up 15-20 mph offshore.
The wind will shift onshore Wednesday afternoon and increase 15-30 mph as a weak storm system approaches our area.
Daytime highs will cool a few degrees the remainder of the week as the low sweeps through.
A chance of light showers Thursday remains in the forecast. Models show potential for up to .25" but the morning and afternoon system will likely produce less than .10" for most locations. The South Coast may actually stay entirely dry.
Friday is dry and sunny. Saturday brings another slight chance of rain but our best chances for meaningful precipitation are ahead next week, possibly arriving Tuesday.
