Overcast skies with warm Christmas Eve temperatures

Mid and high-level clouds are filling the sky over the Central Coast on Christmas Eve. Temperatures will be mild to warm across the area, in the mid to upper 60s and even low 70s.

A slight chance of sprinkles is possible midday but it will not produce any measurable rain. Another weak front passes through Christmas night but once again looks like it will only produce trace amount of precipitation.

Expect partly sunny skies on Christmas Day and temperatures in the mid to upper 60s for most locations.

Temperatures trend down into the weekend with the arrival of a more significant rain system on Sunday evening. The front will sweep through Sunday night into early Monday morning. Models are currently advertising 0.10 to 0.50 inch of rain from that system. Dry weather returns by Tuesday.
