Patchy morning fog is developing across valley and coastal locations Thursday morning. Thanks to a bit of a northwesterly push, the marine layer has been able to make a slight comeback, and as of 4:45 a.m., dense fog was developing over the Santa Ynez Valley. Morning temperatures will be cool, ranging from the 30s and 40s throughout the morning drive.
As the onshore flow continues, coastal regions could stay partly to mostly cloudy well into the afternoon and temperatures will trend down as well. Most beaches will likely struggle to make it past the mid-60s Thursday, and inland and coastal valley communities will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s. The warmest area of the Central Coast will likely be across the Santa Ynez Valley with most daytime highs reaching the low 70s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, these conditions will stay fairly consistent with cool mornings and mild daytime highs.
