Temperatures rise heading into Halloween weekend

Posted
and last updated

Thursday begins with chilly temperatures in the 30s inland and 40s at the beach and coastal valleys but it will warm-up by mid-morning across the Central Coast.

Daytime highs continue to be above average as the warming trend intensifies.

Weak offshore flow is supporting the unseasonably warm conditions but winds will shift lightly onshore during the afternoon. Skies are generally clear but some patchy night & morning clouds may develop near the coast.

Today's high temperatures will range between the low to mid 80s in the inland and coastal valleys. Beaches can expect highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Offshore flow increases over the weekend, as do the temperatures.

The Halloween forecast has temperatures in the uppers 70s and mid 80s. Highs stay well above average through early next week with no rain in the long-range forecast.
