High pressure that's rebuilding over the area Tuesday will result in warmer daytime highs. By 10:00 a.m., temperatures will already be in the 70s for the coastal valleys and the beaches and inland valleys won't be too far behind with temperatures from the mid to upper 60s.
By the afternoon, daytime highs will be about 10-15 degrees above normal. The inland valleys will range from the mid-80s to the low 90, making these communities the warmest across the Central Coast Tuesday. The coastal valleys will range from the mid-70s to the upper 80s, while the beaches will be from the low 70s to the low 80s.
The windy conditions that were widespread over the south coast Monday have tapered off Tuesday. Northwesterly winds will be moderate Tuesday afternoon, ranging from 15-30 miles per hour.
As ridging decreases Wednesday, there will be the redevelopment of fog and cloud cover. As the clouds make a return, temperatures will cool down by five to ten degrees Wednesday. Just as temperatures trend down, they will be on the upswing again Thursday and Friday.
