The warm and windy weather will continue for the Central Coast Friday.
The south coast region will remain under a wind advisory through Saturday at 10:00 a.m. During this time, wind gusts still have the potential to range from 20-30 miles per hour with wind gusts up to 50 mph. Just after 4:00 a.m. Friday, wind speeds along the coast in Gaviota reached 40 mph.
A ridge of high pressure will bring slight warming to the area through Saturday. Daytime highs will be around the 60s and 70s for the beaches, while the valleys will stay close to the 70s and 80s.
By Sunday, a cold front will move over the northwestern portion of the state, which will result in cooler and cloudy weather for the Central Coast. Ahead of the front, there is a 20-30% chance of rain by Sunday afternoon, but these chances could last through early Monday morning. Rainfall totals from this system could range from .10'' to 0.25''.
