Another firefighter was injured while battling the Thomas Fire Sunday night.
The Ventura County Aviation Unit tweeted information just after 5 p.m., saying one firefighter was taken to a hospital after the incident.
The firefighter was reportedly flown out of Rose Valley near Ojai.
"These firefighters have been battling the #ThomasFire going on weeks now, in very unforgiving wind and terrain," the tweet read.
The events leading to the firefighter’s injury was not made clear. The fire officials say his injuries were minor, and that he was airlifted out because of the rough terrain.
