SIG Alert issued for Hwy 101 in SLO following early-morning crashes

Multiple traffic collisions Wednesday morning caused traffic delays on Highway 101, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A SIG Alert was issued for Northbound Highway 101 near the Higuera Street onramp just before 8:00 a.m. CHP officials say crashes along that area of the highway caused slow-moving traffic stretching into Arroyo Grande.

It was not immediately known if wet roads were to blame for any of the crashes or if anyone was injured.

CHP did not provide a time of when the SIG Alert will expire.
