An arrest has been made in connection with the stabbing of a man in Arroyo Grande earlier this year.

Arroyo Grande police say their months-long investigation led them to identify Michael Angel Galindo as a suspect in the late-night Jan. 20 stabbing.

Police say a man sustained life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in a home on the 400 block of S. Elm Street. An update on his condition has not been released.

Galindo was arrested Wednesday and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with great bodily injury and also a parole violation, according to police.

He remained in custody in lieu of $75,000 bail as of Thursday morning, jail logs showed.

Investigators have not released any information on a possible motive behind the attack.
