A person of interest in a Paso Robles shooting investigation is behind bars on an unrelated felony warrant.
Paso Robles police say they served a search warrant Tuesday, along with the San Luis Obispo Regional SWAT and SED teams, the Gang Task Force, probation department and district attorney’s office, on the 2300 block of Winter Wheat Place.
Police say Lauro Valenzuela, 36, was arrested on a felony probation warrant but is also a person-of-interest in connection with a shooting Monday night on the 1100 block of Alamo Creek.
The victim in that shooting was reportedly treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the arm and torso.
San Luis Obispo County Jail logs showed Valenzuela remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
