Nearly a month after SLO Brew's alcohol license was suspended at its downtown location, the business appears to be changing names.
Signs up at the business on the 700 block of Higuera Street state The Carrisa by SLO Brew is "coming soon."
An Instagram page for The Carissa was created late last week, but an opening date has not yet been announced.
The change comes after Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) suspended SLO Brew's alcohol license July 18 based on accusations that an underage person was allowed to consume alcohol on the property in May 2018, a spokesperson for the agency previously told KSBY News.
The suspension was for 20 days and only prohibited the business from selling alcohol; however, SLO Brew has been closed ever since.
Calls and emails to SLO Brew about the suspension and change in name have not been returned.
A post on The Carrisa's Instagram page says the business is hiring.
SLO Brew Rock on Aerovista Lane remains open.
