Templeton High School celebrated Colby Grey and Marlee Aimone Tuesday afternoon as they signed their National Letters of Intent during a ceremony held at Nino’s Grill in downtown Templeton.

Aimone will become a Duck and continue her career on the mat for the University of Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team.

“I’m very excited to take my talents to the next level,” Aimone said. “I’m excited to challenge myself and be with a group of girls that will challenge me, and I hope I can have an impact on them too.”

Grey, who lost just two league matches during his tennis career at Templeton, will continue his career on the court for the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs. Even though he’s recovering from a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Grey is excited for his opportunity at the next level.

“I’m glad to now look forward to the future and specialize in something that I love, political science,” Grey said. “I get to be around a team where I get good competition all the time in beautiful Santa Cruz. I’m looking forward to it.”
